Squee!!! I didn't think that the fic couldn't get any better - what was I thinking? A perfect way to spend the sunday - thank you! I loved the changes - some of the consversations felt deeper and more pulled together. I loved the change to when Harry met Draco for the first time in San Fran. Seems much more plausible.

The tatoo scene returned!!! Yay!

Absolutely loved it!

I'm new here, so I've not read any other versions of LMH before. There is so much that delighted me when I read this. The enormous wealth of detail... yummy, multi-layered, rich, intricate... The dragon tattoo... I absolutely adored the cross look the painted draco gave Harry :-D, the delicious bits of flashback... Cho and Harry, Harry's discomfiture when he's hauled onto the dance floor by Britney Speaks lookalikes *chuckling* , Harry's realisation of his sexual orientation, the way the world so effortlessly revolves around Draco (you really captured that so beautifully, I feel it is a privilege to read this work!) whether it is Colby, Manny, Harry, just about anyone! And oh Gods, that discussion during the Monday night movie session.. Star Wars, Macaulay Culkin? Eeeeeee! And the Harry-Draco sex was absolutely lovely and *blushes* arousing! Even the espionage-intelligence stuff was gripping! When, oh when Ms Grant, do you suppose you'll finish the rest of the fic? You have one terribly agog fan here!

Oh, cool! So you didn't read the rough draft first. :-D That's a good thing, I think! Your comment about the world revolving around Draco is interesting. I don't think that was intentional on my part. I just had him playing the "Brian Kinney" role while he was working in SF.

Thanks so much for leaving a comment! I'm not sure when I'll start posting the sequel -- it's coming along slowly, and RL is kicking my ass at the moment.

oh my word.

i am using every bit of strength in my body to stop myself from squeeing to death.

that was the most fantastic fic i've ever read!!!!! i cried through half of the entire story. i am literally aching for the next installment of this 'star wars'-like epic.

i just know you won't let me down. *squees quietly and waits with such little patience*

Oh, wow. Wow wow wow. I read this as it came out in pieces, and now I just read the whole thing again, and it is simply astounding, and much, much better, though I didn't think that was possible. I don't know how you do it. Excellent!

When I originally started reading LFM months ago I couldn't stop. Reading it through beginning to end just now reminded me of just why I loved it so much. The mystery and intrigue with the clues for the sequel scattered everywhere. You are truly brilliant. I have never read such a beautiful piece of fanfiction. I blame you fully for my obsession with the h/d ship. Please, please, please start the sequel soon. I want more so badly it hurts. I love you and the beautiful work you do. Don't you ever stop!

The parts are longer, and are cut in slightly different places. Ten happened to be the number it made sense to cut it into. The fic is actually longer than the rough draft! ;-)

Emma, I have not enough words to tell you how much I loved your LMH story, all the details and suspense are incredible. I read your WIP when you posted it in your journal and reread it now that you made it your final draft. You really did a great job polishing and adding some details here and there, I particularly liked the way Harry is getting his feelings and sexuality all sorted out, it seemed to flow more with the story instead of just him jumping into the thick of it. Draco on the other hand is just plain perfect, he is sure of who he is and who he likes through out the whole story and then at the last paragraphs he opens up to Harry and shows his sensitive side that like most of all is full of questions and insecurities. What you did to me with this story (besides having to get up and fan myself quite a few times) was that you made all the characters so real and believable and for that I will love you forever.
I know that writing is an art and also a gift and you girl have plenty of it. Keep up the good job and I will be sitting tight waiting for the next part of your story.
PS I hope this makes sense and thanks for your gift.

I`ve tried to read your story before it was edited and was just confused. Now I tried it again and was instantly hooked up! I`m really looking forward to the second part of it. I hope the story line will remain as interesting and exciting as it was so far. One of the best story plots I`ve read in Harry/Draco stories and believe me I `ve read a lot! Thanks so much for entertaining me so well, even if my studying suffred immensely the last day because I was just reading your story!

I've read this as a WIP and loved it to pieces. Still, i liked the final version better in many ways - the changes are rather subtle so you still recognize everything, but it flows more smoothly now, and there are so many new details that give the story even more depth than it had before.
Really, all I have to say is: thank you for sharing this great story - and I'm very much looking forward to the sequel!

Oh, wow. This was amazing. It was so rich and beautiful and full of feeling. I loved it.

I love how you've written both boys, the confusion and vulnerability and feeling. The will-they/won't-they was hot (at the same time as being horribly frustrating!), the sex was hotter, and the angst was painful.

I loved Draco's tattoo. I loved the bracelet, and the meaning behind it. I loved that Harry had recognised Draco's flying style. I loved Harry's 'conversation' with Ron. I loved Hermione's mothering. I loved Hermione's kids. I loved Draco's vulnerability when it came to Harry, that he drew lines with Harry that he never considered with anyone else. I loved the whole thing.

Thank you.

I just wanted to tell you that I read through LMH last night from start to finish and I am so glad that I did. I am not an HP fanficiton gal (my poison is SW), but I *loved* your fic. The characterizations, the setting and plot all wove a fantastic story for me. I even went and read the little ficlets that enhance your tale. I am looking forward to reading the sequel. As usual, your writing just shines.

I'd seen this story recced all over the place and I finally decided that I really should get around to reading it, and boy am I glad that I did. It was so well done.

I loved the set up of this story, the suspense, everything that was left unrevealed--and when you did do the big reveal, it didn't feel rushed at all, which (imo) is quite the accomplishment. Your Harry and Draco were fabulous, in character, and it just seemed so natural to me. The OCs were quite wonderful, too, and I certainly didn't predict all of the twists that you gave them.

Also, big bonus points for setting it in San Francisco (as I am a native who just moved away), even if I'm horribly homesick this morning.

Wonderful story!

Oh dear, oh cruddy crap.
I just love this story so much. This is my second time reading it but it's greatness never diminishes. How, how, HOW in the name of merlin did you EVER come up with such a heartwrenching, mind blowing, nerve racking plot? Honestly, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you were crowned Queen of DracoHarry slash.
My hearts still beating a mile a minute now, and it won't stop. -sigh- there goes any hopes of me getting sleep tonight even though it's near midnight already.
Everything was just so perfect, it was almost too perfect. I'm officially drugged and will never ever forget this story for as long as I live.
No matter how many other wonderful fanfictions I read, this one will always be my uttermost favorite.

Thank you Emma, for creating such a brilliant story. I can't tell you how much it changed my life.

This is the second time I have read your fic. I love it! Why the hell can't people leave other people alone? If Draco (or any gay couple) want to get married, love each other, spend thier lives together . . . why the hell does it matter to any body else? I love this story and it gets better every time I read it. I can't wait for the sequel!
